Our client is a fast growing and well-respected garden design, landscaping and maintenance company operating across London. We are looking for an experienced full-time, skilled Garden Maintenance Foreperson to join their busy and innovative team.

You will be responsible for planting and maintaining premium and innovative domestic and commercial projects across London and overseeing our garden maintenance operations.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail and have strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively. This exciting role requires a team player who show initiative and can also work independently.

You will need to be self-motivated with good horticultural knowledge and be passionate about gardening with a desire to develop.

Role:

�      Lead a team of garden maintenance staff in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

�      Work as part of a soft landscaping team to plant and maintain prestigious, premium gardens and commercial sites across London.

�      Ability to work efficiently and effectively manage a busy and flexible schedule.

�      Deliver great customer service, able to build client relationships and respond calmly and politely to any queries.

�      Highlight and communicate any problems or developments to the GM Manager.

�      Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required.

�      Daily completion of electronic job sheets highlighting next steps for future jobs.

�      Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools.

â?¢Â Â Â Â Â  Oversee and carry out general garden maintenance â?? including mowing, planting annuals and bulbs, pruning at the correct time, lawn care and overall garden development.

�      Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

You will need:

�      Full clean UK driving licence, with experience of driving vans.

�      Excellent horticultural knowledge with at least 3-4 years + experience in the industry to include pruning, pest & disease control, planting, irrigation, lawn care, using a wide variety of horticultural machinery.

�      A desire and passion to continually learn and develop.

�      A drive to deliver, create and nurture high standard gardens.

�      Knowledge of seasonal variations.

�      Good organisation and time management.

�      Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients, operations team and designers.

�      Right to live and work in the UK.

�      Recognised horticultural qualification, or a high level of horticultural experience/knowledge.
