Our high end client requires a highly self-motivated person with good soft landscape knowledge and experience in the United Kingdom, capable of working on their own initiative and in collaboration with the foreperson to create top-end gardens. Whilst it is not essential, it would be useful if applicants hold a full, clean driving licence, since the role may involve driving.

Skills required:

• ·         Horticultural knowledge
• ·         Ability to understand and carry out instructions efficiently
• ·         Self-motivated, organised and pro-active

Experience:

• ·         Soft landscaping record
• ·         Good communication skills
• ·         Familiarity with health and safety policies
• ·         Driving/parking â?? particularly in London (not essential)

Main duties:

• ·         Preparing areas ready for planting
• ·         Receiving and placing plant stock
• ·         Helping to install irrigation systems
• ·         Helping with erection of trellis work and wires to walls
• ·         Helping on occasion with small hard landscaping projects
• ·         To comply with Health and Safety checks, including Risk Assessments, Competence Forms, Vehicle H&S, Inductions etc
• ·         To work within a team, carrying out general soft landscaping duties under the instruction of the Soft Landscape Foreperson and skilled team
