Experienced Gardener
An Experienced Gardener is required for a 2 acre converted farmyard estate within a very beautiful and picturesque position near Chepstow. The gardens consists of a small formal lawn and meadowland and include herbaceous borders, a mini rose garden, wisteria, climbing roses and a rather large pond. The gardens have been maintained to a reasonable standard but there is room for improvement and development
Responsibilities
- Develop the garden to its full potential
- Maintenance of the large greenhouse which is used for propagation purposes
- Maintenance of all decorative displays
- Developing a vegetable garden
- Maintenance of a small orchid with various fruit trees
Person Specification
- Driving licence
- Hort qualified desirable
- PA1 & PA6 desirable
- Have experience in a similar role
Hours
40 Hours a week
28 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
Accommodation
If required free accommodation suitable for a couple or a family in a 3 bedroom barn house can be offered in return for cleaning and maintenance of the neighbouring Farmhouse which is only occupied at weekends. Children and Pets would be welcome.
