Sales Assistant - Horticulture/Nursery - Wholesale

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Sales Assistant with Horticultural knowledge and a passion for plants and trees.

You will greet customers and walk around the wholesale nursery to advise new and potential clients on both purchases and creating a trade account.

Youâ??ll also assist existing customers with their purchases and future orders.

This is an exciting opportunity as you will be a part of developing the new sales and ecommerce team, quality checks on plants that go out through the website sales and depending on your skills and experience, there is scope to lead on the ecommerce side of the business in time.

This would suit a gardener whoâ??s looking to move away from working full time on the tools, people already working in nurseries and also career changers from a sales and customer service background who are newly qualified in horticulture.

You may be required to help with general horticultural practices as requested.

To summarise you will be working in a varied role, carrying out the following tasks in a great working environment:

·        Sales and horticultural practices

·        Strong customer service skills

·        Moving flowers & plants around for deliveries & stock allocation.

·        General stock duties

·        Updating stock levels on the website using a computerised system

·        Processing online orders

·        Quality control checks.

You will require:

·        A passion for gardening/plants

·        A presentable appearance

·        A personable character

·        Good organisation skills
