We are recruiting for Mitie. They are seeking an Assistant Contracts manager to join their team in Carlisle.

Job objectives and responsibilities

We are recruiting an Assistant Contracts Manager who will be responsible for the operational delivery of Mitie's grounds maintenance and winter services contracts, including client liaison, health and safety, financial performance and management of our frontline teams within the Cumbria region. From day one you will be focussing on developing your capability and career to maximise your potential as the business grows. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the candidate will be required to demonstrate relevant experience from the industry or transferable skills from another industry or from higher education.

 

Main Duties

  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage specific contracts to ensure that client specifications are met and that financial targets are achieved. This is to be achieved through the proactive management of resources.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Carry out site inspections and produce monthly reports for contracts, reporting on service delivery and highlighting issues on site.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  To attend customer meetings on site and in offices on a regular basis.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Lead by example with regards to quality, health, safety and environmental compliance with statutory and contractual legislative requirements being exceed.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  To improve quality on sites through close working with your frontline teams.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Act quickly and effectively with local service issues to ensure contract delivery and service standards are maintained.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  To manage and ensure delivery of all winter services needs to ensure complete service delivery in regards to gritting and snow clearance.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  To manage and develop a professional and effective operational team, ensuring objectives are set, monitored and achieved and that all employees are appraised and have a personal development plan.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  To carry out the day to day management of relevant employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability.
  • â?¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Attend HR related courses to ensure competence in dealing with people management responsibilities
