A wedding venue situated in a National Trust parkland in south London is looking for a Live-In Gardener/caretaker. The site comprises of 5 acres with both formal and informal gardens including a lake and large courtyard.

 The successful candidate will be expected to live on site in the caretakerâ??s studio apartment and be the first response for all emergencies and be fully responsible for the maintenance of the gardens and grounds. 

 

Responsibilities

·         Experienced in gardening and grounds maintenance

·        Lawn maintenance

·        Ground preparation

·        Seasonal planting

·        Planters and tub planting and maintenance

·        Grounds clearance

·        Carry out minor maintenance works as required

·        Supervise external contractors

·        Be the primary onside contact outside of working hours

·        Ensure building

 

 

Person specification

·        Good communication skills

·        Reliable and trustworthy

·        Driver

·        Current DBS or willing to have one conducted

 

This is a live in position and comes with an onsite studio flat. Main utility bills will be covered.

Due to the caretaking side on the days when weddings and events are being celebrated you will need to be available to lock up the venue in the evenings
