Experienced Manager required to join an industry award winning landscape design, build and maintenance company.

You will be responsible for the delivery our Clients Soft Landscaping Services working closely with both the design and construction departments in the deliverance of multi million pound projects working across London and the Home Counties. The client seeks a dynamic individual who can inspir the team and their customers.

Job Description

  • Ensuring sites are prepared in accordance with plans for the soft landscaping design
  • Source stock for seasonal planting travelling throughout the Uk and Europe selecting the best plants available for high-end planting schemes
  • Client liaison and site meetings
  • Oversee staff ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget
  • The successful candidate will be a central and core part of the Senior Team of the business and will be expected to be self-motivated and understand the independence and responsibility which is commensurate with the position.
  • You will be a natural problem solver and be gifted at liaising comfortably with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • You will play a significant part in the delivery of our Quality Assurance systems and drive the delivery of the company‚??s standards with ISO 9001 and 14001.
  • Be responsible for driving health and safety within the division, and ensuring that all staff qualifications are kept up to date.
  • Ensure staff training opportunities are in place and delivered including one to one training as required.

Person Specification

  • Have extensive practical experience in horticulture and the delivery of projects.
  • Be extremely organised and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Able to adapt and be a problem solver
  • Be passionate about plants and have a directory of plant knowledge.
  • Have a broad understanding of plant physiology and soil science.
  • Detailed knowledge of plant biological requirements, pruning times and techniques including plant management and maintenance.
  • Experience managing multiple teams in multiple locations.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills with the ability to closely supervise staff effectively and liaise with clients on a one to one basis.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Hort qualified, Ideally Degree Educated
