Purpose of the Role: The primary objective of the Interior and Hotels Senior Technician is to be a representative capable of making sound decisions on behalf of the Interior Operations Manager??s. A Senior Technician must possess excellent maintenance skills and be capable of training Plant Maintenance Technicians to the high standards we require. Senior Technicians will supervise the Plant Maintenance Technicians in the procedures of THE COMPANY??S and ensure they maintain standards as instructed.

The Senior Technician will make suggestions/recommendations to enhance or streamline operations, will perform or supervise certain maintenance functions and be available to assist the manager??s in performing required duties. Senior Technicians must also possess good administrative skills to help enhance overall operations. This role will require competent computer use as Tech Rota??s and Tech budgets will need to be kept up to date at all times.

Main Responsibilities and requirements:

? To assume responsibility and act accordingly in support of managers.

? To be responsible for staff under your supervision and instruction. ? To represent the company as a senior member of staff and act accordingly.

? To receive project orders / upgrades/ issues / complaints and instructions from managers and independently organise ordering of items and allocation of required staff and resources.

? To liaise with managers, staff, clients and suppliers and schedule projects / upgrades / issues / complaints, including arranging passes and booking in staff and vehicles where required.

? To be available for weekend and overtime work when required and organising this work.

? To run projects independently on site ensuring they are executed and completed to a high standard in accordance with THE COMPANY??S and client expectations.

? To supervise operations at THE COMPANY??S premises when present, in order to maintain an organised and productive working environment utilising all available THE COMPANY??S staff.

? To prioritise tasks and duties and delegate these to staff appropriately in a clear and respectful manner.

? To supervise staff on clients sites and at THE COMPANY??S premises when present, in order to ensure staff are working efficiently and effectively during working hours.

? To ensure staff work safely in accordance with THE COMPANY??S training, risk assessments and H&S Policy.

? To ensure staff under your supervision and instruction carry out duties and complete tasks to a high standard in accordance with THE COMPANY??S and client expectations.

? To train both new and existing staff to ensure they understand how to carry out and complete tasks and duties to the expected high standard.

? To ensure plant stock at THE COMPANY??S premises is organised in order to facilitate drop offs, upgrades last minute tech orders.

? To provide temporary cover for managers and technicians at times of sickness and/or holiday, working closely with other managers and senior technicians.

? To inform Technicians of any new work coming up or work cancelling.

? Adding and removing work from CRM and spreadsheets.

? Checking the Technicians Rota??s on a regular basis to make sure work area??s stay as tight as possible at all times.

? To arrange weekly and daily Technician drop offs so they are done in a timely and efficient manner. Additional Responsibilities central to the role:

? To ensure the safety of THE COMPANY??S staff and other persons who may be affected by THE COMPANY??S??s work and related activities carried out under their supervision or instruction.

? To ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statements are completed for upgrades, weekend work or any task requiring additional RAMS, and that these are communicated to staff and signed off.

? To ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and processed appropriately via the correct channels, including but not limited to: timesheet, job slips, vehicle check sheets, risk assessments, method statements, delivery notes, order forms, accident reports, and any other documentation related to the role.

? To ensure any additional scheduled work is entered into your calendar and communicated to the relevant parties at THE COMPANY??S, and update on any alterations as required.

? To deal with client complaints in a professional manner and resolve these independently where possible, or promptly contact a manager for assistance to avoid escalation.

? To follow up on any client complaints and to make sure the client is satisfied with the result.

? To check quality of work from Interior and Hotel Technicians and other work tasks, and react to rectify issues promptly and independently.

? To report back to management immediately, any problems or difficulties that cannot be resolved independently, or any concerns you may have about standards of work, behaviour or other related issues.

? To receive and check deliveries and organise stock for projects, upgrades and maintenance orders.

? Any other duties as appropriate to the post. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Skills/ Training:

? Written and verbal communication should be clear and precise.

? Good communication skills and the ability to communicate respectfully with a wide variety of individuals.

? Good knowledge of London area and ability to navigate to unfamiliar locations

? Driving licence preferred but not essential

? Strong time management and administrative skills.

? Strong maintenance skills and a broad knowledge of different plants and their requirements

? Ability to work on own initiative and impart that initiative professionally.

? Strong organisational ability.

? Strong computer literacy and knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook. Other:
