Maintenance Gardener

Our Client is looking for a Maintenance Gardener to join the Team at their Estate based in Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Grass Cutting, using ride on tractors and mowers
  • Strimming
  • Weeding and hoeing of all flower beds, vegetable, and fruit cage areas
  • Hedge trimming
  • Planting
  • Cutting back, blowing and leaf clearing
  • Fencing work
  • Some DIY
  • The candidate must also be prepaid to work with animals mainly fowl
  • Candidates must be prepared to fit in with other duties such as being responsible for locking estate up at the end of the working day on a rota basis and be proactively security minded

Person Specification

  • Previous landscape maintenance experience is essential
  • Experience leading a team
  • Hort qualified desirable
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
  • All candidates must be prepared to undergo a DBS check
  • All candidates must have their own means to travel to site
  • The candidates will be expected to conform to all H&S procedures on the Estate

Hours: 8-5pm Monday - Friday with some weekend work if required but would be on a rota basis

Holidays: 24 paid days per annum plus all bank holidays

Annual performance related bonus (paid at Christmas)

Training will also be provided.
