Maintenance Gardener
Our Client is looking for a Maintenance Gardener to join the Team at their Estate based in Oxfordshire.
Responsibilities
- Grass Cutting, using ride on tractors and mowers
- Strimming
- Weeding and hoeing of all flower beds, vegetable, and fruit cage areas
- Hedge trimming
- Planting
- Cutting back, blowing and leaf clearing
- Fencing work
- Some DIY
- The candidate must also be prepaid to work with animals mainly fowl
- Candidates must be prepared to fit in with other duties such as being responsible for locking estate up at the end of the working day on a rota basis and be proactively security minded
Person Specification
- Previous landscape maintenance experience is essential
- Experience leading a team
- Hort qualified desirable
- Full clean driving licence
- Team player
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- All candidates must be prepared to undergo a DBS check
- All candidates must have their own means to travel to site
- The candidates will be expected to conform to all H&S procedures on the Estate
Hours: 8-5pm Monday - Friday with some weekend work if required but would be on a rota basis
Holidays: 24 paid days per annum plus all bank holidays
Annual performance related bonus (paid at Christmas)
Training will also be provided.
