Grounds Maintenance Operative

Our client provides Grounds / Garden Maintenance for residential and commercial clients.

They provide a comprehensive range of services, ranging from wide area lawn cutting, shrub and plant pruning, litter picking, sweeping, planting spring and winter bedding, through to hard and soft landscape design, manual and chemical weed and arboriculture.

Responsibilities

  • Working effectively as part of a small team
  • Ensuring quality standards are consistently upheld
  • Follow health and safety
  • Complete administration correctly and submit paperwork on time
  • All general maintenance including: mowing
  • Edging
  • Strimming
  • Weeding
  • Mulching
  • Planting
  • Pruning
  • Watering
  • Hedge cutting
  • Leaf blowing
  • Ensure appropriate equipment and machinery is used for each task and is used correctly as per the manufacturerâ??s instructions and training provided
  • Correct disposal of green waste
  • Any ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification

  • Previous landscape maintenance experience is essential
  • Hort qualified desirable
  • Full clean driving licence is essential
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
